Did a big walk around the Dubai waterfall and saw the water show. Amazing!
Walked back into Dubai Mall which features a skate bowl and a Aquarium.
Went to a Japanese book store and picked up a book people keep raving on about…more on that later
Spent some more time on the beach…such nice weather right now.

Then ate my favorite cuisine….Burgers !
Finished up the night watching this movie. It was super weird. Watch it on DVD if it seems like your kind of thang.
With myself. Work out, jump in the pool, tanning, reading, delicious salad for lunch followed by a long walk along the Dubai Marina.
But it gets better.
Headed to the Dubai mall as planned, shopped for some bargains. What i bought is total cuteness.
Finished up the day munching on delicious Thai food for dins (R.I.P Thailand) while watching gossip girl with a fine white wine.

Started my morning doing this workout 4x…I wanted to do a more intense one but my joggers are no where to be found. After the workout, I quickly jumped into the elevator and dived straight into the pool. I was so sweaty… an icy cold pool was all i could think of. It felt like I just got baptized. Then I ran back upstairs got a towel, ate a cucumber and read my book while I tanned. (Almost finished! Yes i did read the whole thing in a day… will have a review up very soon)
Ah, winter in Dubai.
Now off to the Dubai Marina to get some lunch and then heading to Dubai mall to score some sweet discounts. Today is the last day for the Dubai shopping festival i.e MAD SALESS TIME. Almost as good as being in Thailand not.
Yay for holidays and traveling!
Yes I was at the airport for 9+ hours and I still couldn’t get on a flight to Thailand.
Booooo! The only plus side is that I bumped into an old friend of mine! She is super sweet and I hadn’t seen her for 2 years. The last time I saw her we were drinking Starbucks at Broadbeach and I was convincing her to apply for a job for Emirates. She actually took me up on my suggestion and is happy as ever living in Dubai and travelling the world!
Her and her little sister were trying to get to the Mal Dives but sadly were rejected as well. We ended up spending the day together at the beach right by the Burj Dubai then to Lime Tree Café. Lime tree is this awesome New Zealand owned Café that reminded me a lot of being at home. We finished the day with some trashy TV. It was just what I needed after being awake for 24+ hours.
I decided to not try for any more flights to Thailand (who seriously wants to rush back and forth to the airport?) and instead enjoy Dubai. My sister’s boyfriend is planning to show me around town as well as her gorgeous roommate. Cannot wait!
